Nutritional info for McD's products
Now I don't know if you have noticed that McD's started giving out nutritional info on their products some time back, so I guess it's alright for me as a nutritionist to do some analysis of what's high and what's low.
Ok, firstly, let's look at calories. For those who are constantly doing physical training or want to gain weight, you might want to pack up on those calories, and of course, for those who want to lose weight or maintain their figure, but still enjoy fastfood, you might want to consider cutting down on those calories. Anything in between (highest and lowest) is fine for those who are not in any of the above mentioned categories. The bottom line is this: Extra and unused calories turn into fat.

And so, there you go, a list for you to make a healthier (not in the healthy sense) choice, the next time you step into McD's.
What do I personally and professionally think of this? I would think that in terms of the degree of seriousness, you should strictly AVOID the stuffs highest in SALT and SUGAR. But of course, it's your choice anyways. Just know that I TOLD YOU SO. Quite serious would be those things highest in FAT, especially for sedentary people who don't exercise more than 3 times a week.
And please don't misuse the list of LOWEST stuffs either. They may be lower in salt, sugar and fat, but doesn't mean that you can eat as much as you like!
I know, some would say, WHAT'S THE BIG DEAL? Well, I guess it won't be a big deal 20, 30 years later you lying there on the hospital bed, suffering from chronic diseases. Some might even retaliate and say, SO WHAT, I'M GOING TO DIE ONE DAY, ANYWAY, SO WHY CAN'T I JUST ENJOY LIFE? Of course, those coming from that school of thinking, I've got nothing else to say but hey, it's your choice. As for me, I'd rather die in good health, than die suffering, physically, mentally, and FINANCIALLY.
McD's, anyone? :)
DISCLAIMER: This post is NOT done IN SUPPORT or PROTEST of McD's products. Just FYI, and for making a better choice, for certain group of people.
